Most cruisers are
finding their own way to Mt. Desert. So we are
publishing the
Rally Sheet departure schedule to assist those
that would like to travel in the company of other
cruisers. |
T he Boston Yacht Club 'Just Desert'
cruise officially starts and ends in the Mt. Desert Island
(*) area. Rallies are being formed as
a way for cruisers to get to and from Mt Desert in groups for
their own enjoyment and safety. These rallies are not officially
part of the cruise so participants may chose to join one or make
their own plans. There are three rallies being suggested for
getting to Northeast Harbor and two rallies for the return to
Marblehead. Cruisers interested in joining a rally should reserve
associated ports using the links below. As we get closer to
departure, we will select rally leaders to facilitate
communication among the participants. These rally plans are just
a suggestion to help members help themselves by going in a group
so please feel free to modify the suggested port itinerary and
travel dates to suit your individual requirements. Also, if you
need to sign up for the cruise, order cruise wear, select
available port slips/moorings, or join a cruise rally,
