Port Information: East Greenwich

Introduction:

The East Greenwich Bay has one of the loveliest coastlines on Narragansett Bay. Located in the center of Rhode Island and covering 16 miles, the town of East Greenwich has a lot to offer visitors. Great eating establishments, fun entertainment and lots of history are among the choices you will have when visiting the East Greenwich Yacht Club. Get a sense of the town's history by taking a tour of the Hill and Harbour District where you will see houses dating back to the early 1600's. Whether you want to relax on your boat, have a great meal or do a little dancing, East Greenwich is worth a visit!

Located in East Greenwich Cove, the East Greenwich Yacht Club offers both members and transients a great place to leisurely spend a few hours either reading a book while sitting in a rocking chair on the front porch or sipping your favorite beverage at the club house bar.

Navigating the Water:

Greenwich Bay is easily accessible from Narragansett Bay's West Passage. From the south: run straight up West Passage, keeping east of the Fl G 2.5s G"1", identifying Round Rock at Greenwich Bay entrance. If you insist on staying west of Round Rock, you must contend with Flat Rock, in addition to shallow water on the way in.
