The Boston Yacht Club will be the host of a
fishing tournament Sunday September 11th. The tournament
will include three prize categories; Largest Striped Bass,
Largest Bluefish and Tagged Tuna. The tournament entrance
fee is $25 per angler for the Bass and Blues tournament. An
additional entrance fee of $5 per angler will enter one into
the Tuna tournament. All BYC members are welcome to
participate. Members of Maddies Anglers Club will also be
invited to enter the Stoddard Tournament. All anglers
entered in the tournament will receive a T-shirt.
Fishing will commence at sunrise on
Saturday. Food and drink will be available at the Gazebo.
We anticipate boats entered in the tournament to be rafting
up from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM. (in a similar fashion to the
boat parade). The larger boats will be stern to on the main
dock and we are asking center consoles to try to fill in at
the yardarm dock. The fuel dock will be open. Come on down
to the Gazebo area for the weight-in at 3:00 PM to see how
the fleet competed.
